Anna Prince Redd poems

Two typewritten poems and one handwritten letter by Anna Prince Redd. The letter is addressed to "Mrs. Hart" and deals with Redd's feelings for Hart as well as with her plans to publish a few books of poetry about the desert and Native Americans. The poems are entitled "Deseret Interim" and "Penelope and I."

Scope and Contents On the first leaf of the document is found "Begun Dec. 1/91" the manuscript was probably completed the following year. The novel first appeared in print in 1893. The document is unsigned but is believed to be in the author's hand. The manuscript is complete, except for page 118, one paragraph on page 135, and a part of the last paragraph of the "notes." Abstract

The collection consists of four items of Mary Noel Rigby's poetry and written vignettes of her life. She entitled sections of her poetry Nature, Philosophy and Spiritual.
