Nephi Chunn Hicks autobiography
Typewritten autobiography and a newspaper clipping. Hicks was unable to finish his autobiography due to illness. Hicks was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, delivered newspapers as a young man, and later worked as a newspaper editor in Provo, Utah. Also included is a newspaper clipping from 1971 outlining Hicks' career.
Joe Hyams papers
The collection consists of scrapbooks Hyams kept of the columns he wrote as a Hollywood journalist while working for the New York Herald Tribune (1951-73), as well as of manuscript materials for books, screenplays, etc. It also includes photos, art books, and numerous tape reels of interviews with Hollywood notables.
Andrew Jenson : historian, churchman, traveler, missionary and author
Typewritten draft of a biographical sketch written for the Utah State Historical Society of a Mormon pioneer, missionary, author-journalist and assistant Latter-day Saint Church historian. It describes (mainly through excerpts from his autobiography) his activities in those capacities, as well as his emigration from Denmark to Utah and family data. Also included are two articles by Newell Knight and an article from the Salt Lake City Historian's Office pertaining to "Washington Square."
