Most of the publications were collected as a subscriber, and are incomplete sets. The exception is Viltis Magazine, of which Young was a co-editor for fifteen years. Dates range from 1944-2014.

The majority of the materials refer to Eastern Europe with a large abundance of the resource materials focused on Poland. L. DeWayne Young collected these resources himself via travel and folk dance festivals. Dates range approximately from 1968-2010.

L. DeWayne Young papers, 1959-1979
Young was one of Brigham Young University’s Folk Dancers. These materials reflect his time as a dancer, and also the director of the BYU Women’s Dance Group. There are programs, newspapers clippings, 1959 Montana tour itineraries, posters, and a typed history of the BYU Women’s Dance Group. Young appears in programs as both a student and alumni. The posters feature Young, and advertise the 1968 European Folk Festivals Tour. Dates range 1959-1979.
L. Tom Perry Special Collections exhibit prints
Contains oversized prints from the collections of the L. Tom Perry Special Collections that were used in exhibits. All photographs in the collection were produced from negatives in the respective collections of each photographer. Materials dated approximately 1860-1930.
Bert Lahr letter
Typewritten and signed letter dated May 6, 1957 and addressed to F. Haldane of Chicago, Illinois. Lahr appologizes for not sooner acknowledging Haldane's letter and states he is pleased to send him an autographed picture and return his dollar.
