Handwritten diaries. Hansen served as a missionary for the Mormon Church in Wisconsin and in neighboring states. Hansen records his experiences in what are often lengthy and detailed accounts. He recounts conversations and the various aspects of his activities.

Handwritten diary and record book. Nielsen kept his diary while serving on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Minnesota and Wisconsin from 1883-1885. Nielsen also writes about his experiences in Salt Lake City, Utah, after his mission and his political activies. Also included is a patriarchal blessing given to Nielsin in 1876.
