Cynthia lived in Ogden, Utah; describes activities during the Utah War of 1857 to 1858; writes of her life as a polygamous wife; and relates her move to Juarez, Mexico, in 1892. Also included is a patriarchal blessing.

The correspondence relate to the final illness of Wines' husband, Ira Wines. Most of the materials relate to personal matters.
