Scope and Contents note Brunson collects stories from the Brigham Young University police department dispatch center. She divides these stories into three categories-real emergencies, job security, and dumb people calls-and finds a high concentration of dumb people stories. She suggests that sharing stories about dumb callers establishes camaraderie between dispatchers and blurs the hierarchy between actual dispatchers and subordinate alarm monitors by finding a common joke. This project contains personal narratives about high school dramatic performance experiences as told by performers. This 12 item collection includes the following experiences: hiding behind the stage curtains, rubber chicken in every production, dancing mishaps, sound effect mistakes, pranks, painted armpits, Vaseline on props, unitards, backstage relationships, malfunctioning microphone, and co-ed dressing rooms. Namahoe collected bizarre and embarrassing stories that have occurred to people in the workplace. Included are stories of a pizza delivery boy rear-ending a car while delivering a pizza, a boy having to give a urine sample for a drug test and being unable to urinate, and a man mimicking an Indian accent with a co-worker only to find an Indian man waiting at the reception desk outside. The project was collected for an English 392 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1998.

Chatham collected obituaries from before 1930 (with the bulk being before 1910). Included are obituaries of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, speculations of murder, explanations of circumstances surrounding mysterious deaths, and an obituary explaining the story of Henry Neuebaumer who shot his unfaithful sweetheart Miss Ollie Powell and then killed himself. The project was written for an English 392 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.
