Biography : Thomas Featherstone

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. Featherstone was born in 1834 in England, and he joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1849. He mirgrated to Utah in 1857 and settled in American Fork. He had seven children and died in 1918.

Handwritten diary kept from 1887 to 1889 when Flake was a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England. Also included is a handwritten autobiography and diary. Flake summarizes his life to the year 1888 at which time he began a diary with many gaps and many short entries. Dates range from 1887 to 1929.

Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typed biography. Hannah Astill was born in 1823 in England. She married Henry Goddard in 1847, joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1850, and migrated to Utah in 1855. She lived in Provo, Utah, and died in 1888.

Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Lizzie Grant was born in 1863 on 25 Dec. in England. Her parents were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They migrated to Utah in 1866, but Lizzie died in Silver Creek, Wyoming, on 13 August 1866.

The manuscript was read by Jennie Greenwood, William's grand daugther-in-law, at a meeting of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in Utah County, Utah. Greenwood writes about his life to the year 1848 and then starts a diary which has many gaps. Greenwood was born in England and later moved to Nauvoo, Illinois, with the Mormons. Her family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah in 1852. She moved to American Fork, Utah, and married Thomas Ephraim Thornton in 1856. The had 11 children, and she died in 1916.

William Lawrence Hutchings diary
