Scope and Contents Photocopies of photographs and captions of the Urspringen Synagogue and homes along Judenstrasse after they were greatly damaged in 1942 by the Nazis. The synagogue was completely restored many years later as a memorial to the Jewish people who were murdered in the Holocaust. No Jews live in Urspringen today. Though Heilner family members were killed in the Holocaust, the Heilner family had no ancestors living in Urspringen when the Jewish sector was invaded by Nazis. From the...
