Scope and Contents The material in this collection originated mostly from the files of Dean Jeppsen, the majority being receive from him in March 1976, with some earlier material already preserved in the University Archives. Contains a history, minutes, photographs, memorandums, slides, and forms from the dean's office of the Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering and Technology at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Includes information on college activities, curriculum, expenses, faculty, and students. Also includes information on the construction of the Clyde Building. Materials date from between 1953 and 2014.

Contains twenty photographs of campus buildings and activities concerning engineering and technology at Brigham Young University. This collection includes pictures of the old Industrial Arts, Brimhall, Harvey Fletcher, Clyde, Shell, and temporary engineering buildings, the blacksmith shop and students, and metal, woodwork, and auto mechanics classes, circa 1890-1974.

Collection includes correspondence, articles, awards, photographs, journals, calendars, and other memorabilia that document Douglas Smoot's professional life as a professor of engineering at Brigham Young University, religious, and family and personal life, including involvement with Academy Square in Provo, from 1907 to 2011. The collection consists mostly of methodically compiled scrapbooks that are organized by year rather than by content.
