Records including playbills, photographs, programs, and newspaper clippings about past theatrical works performed in the Pardoe Theater and elsewhere in the Harris Fine Arts Center.

Abstract

The items have been divided into five series: 1) Account Books, 1850–1881; 2) Letters, 1864-1912; 3) Business Items, 1854-1908; 4) Ephemera, 31 March 1866; and 5) Poem, 7 April 1868.

Abstract Correspondence, articles, plays, histories, playbills, theater advertisements, notes, and scripts. The materials document Hansen's teaching and directing career at Brigham Young University. The items also document the Hill Cumorah Pagent. The collection documents Hansen's career as a professor of theater arts and a local theater producer in Iowa, Michigan, New York, and Utah. Scope and Contents

The folder contains a printed playbill of the opera "The Beautiful Heart Story." The production was to be held at the "Opera House Tonight." The location of the production is uncertain.

A playbill for the "Burlesque Operetta" entitled, "Loves of Wolfenstein," performed by the children of the 18th ward Sunday School in the Social Hall, Friday, January 24, 1879. Significant people listed on the playbill include: O. F. Whitney, C. R. Savage, and George Careless.
