Scope and Contents The subseries is composed of diaries and journals written by various members of the Rhoads family. The majority of the diaries are written by Dorothy Rhoads and cover a number of years from her adolescent and adult life. Other diaries include a travel journal of Franklin Rhoads, and several written by Fannie Rhoads. Dorothy's diaries are mostly continuous from 1909-1944, and the other diaries are circa 1910. This series consists of papers concerning the Rhoads family. Papers include correspondence, diaries, and scrapbooks created by Franklin K., Fannie, Dorothy, and Frances Rhoads. Other papers include professional writings, notes and drafts of Dorothy Rhoads and newspaper clippings. Photographs of the Rhoads family, including Dorothy, Frances, Fannie, Franklin Rhoads, and extended family are also included.

Scope and Contents From the Series: The Rhoads and Morley photograph collection contains over 14,000 photographs created by the Morley and Rhoads families. The Sylvanus G. Morley photographs contain photographs of the buildings, architecture, murals, and excavations of Mayan ruins in Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras. Scope and Contents

Portraits of family members from Frank Rhoads and Frances Cook. Note that Aunt Mame is Frank Rhoad's relative, Mary Elizabeth Rhoads Robinson. The families were very close. Note that Frances Cook Rhoads was often nicknamed Franny or Fannie. Dated approximately 1800 to 1930.

Scope and Contents This subseries is composed of scrapbooks made by Dorothy, Frances, and Fannie Rhoads and Sarah Cook. Scrapbooks span several years, and include Dorothy and Frances' high school memories and papers, childhood drawings, and college experiences. Sarah Cook, Fannie's mother, made one scrapbook in 1881, and the last scrapbook was finished around 1916.
