Scope and Contents Holograph document recording of names of 398 Menominee Indians in 1872. These individuals were the heads of households. Numbers of men, women, and children of each household are also presented. The roll was also a financial record indicating how much each family unit was paid by the US government on 13 Sept. 1872. Three-page document from the executive committee of the National Immigration Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, addressed to William H. Hooper, U.S. Representative from Utah Territory. The memorandum summarizes recent Congressional measures pertaining to immigration, and requests Hooper's support of these laws being passed to improve immigration to the United States. Endorsed by William C. Staines, Utah Emigration Agent on a back panel. Endorsement dated April 29, 1871.

This was a bill sponsored by Poland that removed power in the Utah justice system from Mormons and gave it to federal courts and officials, intended to allow for successful prosecutions of Mormon polygamists. Typewritten engineering report prepared for the Research Corporation of New York concerning the diking of the Great Salt Lake east of Antelope Island to create a fresh water embayment of particular use to Salt Lake City. Typescript was received by the Utah governor's office in January 1934.
