Abstract

Photocopied diary and photograph of Elihu Dazley, with diary entries dating from 1900 to 1908. The diary spans 358 pages and includes a brief note by Theodore J. Thaxton, Jr. Elihu Dazley writes a brief autobiographical history in the first pages of his diary. Date of diary publication is unknown.

Photocopy of a handwritten autobiographical account. Mary Richards writes about her conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in England, resistance after her baptism, and talks a lot about her association with Heber C. Kimball, an apostle in the LDS Church. Also included is a newspaper clipping which is an obituary of Phinehas Richards, Mary's father-in-law and an early settler of Sanpete County, Utah.

John Needham diary and autobiography

Typewritten copy of a diary from 1840-1842. Needham writes about his conversion, missionary activies in England and Wales, faith promoting experiences, persecutions, and also gives details of the organization of branches in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including names and dates of baptisms and ordinations of the members. Also included is a five-page typescript of an autobiography written late in the nineteenth century when Needham lived in Logan, Utah.

Aaron Nelson diary

Handwritten diary with photocopies of the item. Nelson had converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1849. His diary covers the years 1858 to 1862 when he served as an LDS missionary in England. Also included are some notes by Nelson's son, William Nelson, who had migrated to St. George, Utah.
