Account his service as a missioinary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Texas, part of the Central States Mission. He labored in Houston and several other communities in southeast Texas.

Scope and Contents Handwritten and bound diaries. Also included are bound photocopies of the handwritten journals. The items are for the years 1887 through 1889 when Duffin served as a missionary for the Mormon Church in the Southern States Mission. Sixteen bound books containing typewritten and handwritten notes, a diary, theses, lists, laws, scripture references, family genealogy, and an instruction booklet. The materials relate to Ellsworth's occupation as professor and his assignment as a mission president of the Central States Mission of the Mormon Church.
