Abstract A letter from John Steele to his wife, Catherine Campbell, dated 11 March 1878. Steele was serving a mission to the British Isles, in the Liverpool and Manchester areas. He tells of his feelings about missionary work and his desire for letters and information from home. He mentions people he is working with (e.g. “one of Bro. Heber C. Kimball’s sons,” Bro. Barrett, Bro. Dunford), and how the people are reacting to the missionary efforts.
