William Horne Dame papers

Scope and Contents

Contains correspondence, patriarchal blessings, financial records, militia records, photographs, and miscellaneous items. Much of the correspondence is between Dame and General Authorities of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The material relates to Dame's life and activities, including his militia service and his connection to the Mountain Meadows Massacre in 1857.

Alexander Gordon Matheson diary

Scope and Contents

Holograph diary and typescript of the same item. Matheson lived in Cedar City, Utah and had business holdings in Parowan, Utah. The diary is largely concerned with accounts of the day's work activities at the sawmill which he apparently owned.

Geroge Washington Hickerson correspondence and family papers

Scope and Contents Handwritten correspondence largely to and from family members. Also included are biographies and a genealogy of Hickerson family members. Hickerson lived much of his life in Davis County, Utah. Some of the letters were written by Hickerson while serving on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Illinois.
