Scope and Contents Contains a diary with the personal writings of Ernest C. Clayton. Dated December 12, 1928, to December 26, 1935. The first half of the diary is blank. Ernest recorded events from his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Eastern United States from 1928 to 1929, mainly in New York. He likely began his mission before 1928, as the diary seems to pick up in the middle of the mission. In 1935, he returned to the diary and finished updating it about the last few days...
