Also included are the diaries of Butt's wife, Laura Ellen Bushman Butt, 1896-1897. The materials document William Butt's life in Lehi, Utah, and his service as a missionary for the Mormon Church to the Northern States.
Handwritten and signed letters addressed to Francis W. Kirkham. These items came from friends and family members living in Provo and Lehi, Utah. The materials relate largely to family and personal matters.
Unbound pages with handwritten entries, mostly in pencil, and a bound journal with handwritten entries in ink. The former covers 1876-1878 and the latter 1875-1876 as well as part of 1885. Both largely describe farming activities.
