James William Ure diary
Photocopy of a handwritten diary kept from 3 May 1876 to 7 Jan. 1882. Ure writes about working in a warehouse of the Utah Central Railroad, participating in music groups, and serving as an elders quorum president for the Mormon Church. Also included are notations of work schedules.
Utah Central Railroad Company receipt
Handwritten and prined receipt for four doors and on "Bunch of Sush." The item is dated 1 May 1886. On the reverse side of the receipt is a printed item with a list of eighteen articles relating the the conditions and rules that form part of a formal contract.
The Utah Eastern Railroad and its predecessors
Carbon copy of a typewritten essay. The item was published in the Utah Historical Quarterly in the Jan. 1955 issue. The item relates to the efforts to bring coal by rail from the eastern areas of Utah.
Utah Pacific Railroad survey books
Tax papers (1904-1947), company correspondence (1909-1947), financial records including incoming statements and bank statements (1914-1929), financial papers for individual companies (1907-1953), mining bulletins (1926-1928), and over 200 maps and plans. The materials relate to the operations of the company and to the corporations in which it invested. Most of these companies were involved either in mining or in railroads.

Utah Territory certificates of acknowledgement
The collection contains printed and handwritten certificates from 1891-1892. The materials are official items issued by the Territory of Utah and acknowledge the existence of the Reed Hotel Company and the Salt Lake and Wyoming Railroad Company.
Walter Claude Orem papers, 1914-1969
Two items concerning biographical statements (xerox copies). Literary rights rest with the respective publisher. Letter: September 26, 1949, Orem, Utah, from Major J. W. Gillman to W. C. Orem in SLC on the occasion of the dedication of the "Velvet Highway" in Orem, enclosing a copy of the speech Gillman delivered at the dedication. Letter: June 1944, Long Beach, California, from Orem's wife Mable to him in SLC 1 item. Literary rights on all above letters remain with the Orem family.
John N. Weston, John Henry Weston, and Brad Weston collection
This collection includes photographs taken by Weston family members. It includes 43 photographs taken between 1896 and 1977 pertaining to the railroad in Milford, Utah. There are also 7 photographs of a Utah Army Air Corps Air Show in Lyndall, Utah in 1931. There is also a collection of booklets and pamphlets that were given by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS Church) to youth during the 1950s.
Brigham Young letters
Includes sixteen handwritten and signed letters addressed to officials of the Union Pacific Railroad Company, including Thomas Clark Durant, C. L. Frost, and S. B Reed. Young writes about his role as a contractor for the construction of the Union Pacific Railroad through Utah. Photocopies of items also included in collection.
