Harrison D. Little field journal
Handwritten journal describing Littlefield's travels around the world in 1873-4. He started in Boston Mass. and travelled westward across the United States. He then went across the Pacific to the Far East and returned to Boston by way of Europe and the Atlantic. The account contains detailed descriptions of the Far East and his railroad trip across the United States. He also describes his visit to Ogden and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Typed transcript of part of Henry Rice Mann's diary. Transcript begins June 22, 1849 and ends September 18, 1849. On the entry of August 10, 1849, Mann is 35 years old. The diary recounts his trip across the United States to become a gold panner in California. Mann describes the climate, surrounding nature, the wagon train, camping life, and the prospect of searching for gold in California.
