Zenon Trudeau papers
English translations of two French documents: a marriage contract dated February 23, 1797, and an account of the probate proceedings of the estate of Joseph Taylor, Senior, dated June 26, 1799. The probate records also include a list of the slaves owned by Taylor and plans for their eventual sale along with the rest of his real property.
A true pioneer story
Typewritten biography with handwritten notations. The item is a biography of Mary Barker Virgin. Mary Virgin was married to George Thompson Virgin in 1852 in England. The couple, joined the Mormon Church, had four children, and Mary migrated with the Mormons to Utah and later to Idaho after George's death. Mary settled in Paris, Idaho where she died at age 92.
Tulancingo petition
Handwritten and signed petition for "Indios ladinos" (Indian mestizos) to recover certain sums owed him by Joaquin Lopez de Castillo. The sums owed are for "pulque," a fermented juice of the maguey fruit.

The two items of this collection are typescripts. "Two Foundation Stones" is five pages long and deals with the family life of the Packers and how they apply Mormon church principles in their family. The other document is a two page life history of Donna Smith Packer.

Also included is a pamphlet by Charles Brent Hancock in which he recounts his life in Payson, Utah, including encounters with Ute Indians and numerous poems and songs written by family members.
