Duwayne Leroy Anderson missionary papers

Materials contain papers dated from 1922 to 1925, which include a mission journal and accompanying transcription, missionary meeting notes, "Swiss and German Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" LDS Church directory, and photograph and postcard albums. All these things were created in conjunction with Anderson's missionary service in Germany from 1922 to 1925.

Handwritten diary kept by Ernest Burgess and by his wife, Donna Miles Burgess. Ernest writes about his missionary experiences in Germany and about his life in Roosevelt, Utah. Donna Burgess continues the account of life in Roosevelt until 1959. Many of the entries are long and detailed, but there are many lengthy gaps in the record.

He served a Latter-day Saint mission in Germany, 1931-1933; studied music at the State Academy of Music in Berlin, Germany, 1933-1934; and worked in the Department of Music at Brigham Young University, 1936-1938 and again beginning in 1942. Material was dictated by John R. Halliday in June 1971, and later transcribed.
