Journal documents Mortimer's service as a Mormon missionary in Switzerland and Germany, as well as later family, professional, and Church life. Entries date from between 1925 and 1963.

Typewritten copies of letters, blessings, and a diary. The four letters were sent to Albert's brother, Wilford Winkler, when Wilford was on a mission for the Mormon Church in Switzerland. These items are from Albert and his wife, Emma Fowles Winkler. Also included are five Mormon Church blessings given to Emma and Albert. The diary covers the years 1907-8 and covers the time when Albert was on a mission for the Mormon Church in Switzerland.
