Scope and Contents This collection consists of letters sent to Barton Orville Aylesworth in response to his inquiries. Aylesworth asked these writers of both fiction and factual books to tell him about themselves and about their writings. The replies were mostly short, autobiographical, and often included lists of publications. The letters were usually hand-written and were signed by the authors. Most of the authors sent only one letter, but several sent two, including Bliss Perry (1860-1954), William Wetmore...

Handwritten letter sent to the newspaper offices that printed a column known as "The Office Window." The letter is dated March 22, 1928 and was written in Indianapolis, Indiana. Also included is a photocopy of the newspaper article dated Feb. 25, 1928. The news piece was somewhat critical of Halliburton and his adventures. Halliburton wrote to thank the editors for the publicity and to correct the things said about him.
