Includes account of the author receiving his assignment from Lorenzo Snow (1814-1901), one of the Twelve Apostles of the Mormon Church; the trip to Arizona; and descriptions of Hinckley's work among the Indians. Diary entries are lengthy and very detailed.

He was told in a vision to believe the things his Mormon brethern had told him, and to obey their words. The Indian also saw the coming persecutions against the Mormon Church for polygamy and many other events as well.
