Photocopies of Delbert Barney's correspondence with government and ecclesiastical officials. He describes an eye-witness account of the "transfiguration" of the Mormon Church President Brigham Young into the likeness of Joseph Smith in 1844 and discusses Blacks and the Mormon priesthood.

Ivan J. Barrett diaries

Scope and Contents Ten handwritten diaries with photocopies of the items, a draft of the book "The Story of the Mormons in the Holy Land," newspaper clippings, and miscellaneous items. Barrett kept his diary while serving on a mission for the Mormon Church with his wife in Israel. He writes about the tedium of day-to-day work, consultations with prominent Israelis, diplomatic visits of foreign dignitaries, and meetings with various General Authoriities of the Mormon Church. Joseph M. Bauman collection of photographs of Utah

Scope and Contents Collection contains 740 photographs, including 719 prints made by Brigham Young University of 594 negatives and 125 transparencies. The photographs were taken between approximately 1910 and 1929. They are photographs of places throughout Utah. Many are taken in the wilderness, especially in the mountains. Henry Baxter letters and reports

Scope and Contents

Handwritten letters and reports. Forty-four of the items deal with Baxter's activities during the Civil War. Many of them were written by Baxter and by other participants. They deal with a wide range of military matters including the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863 and the Battle of the Wilderness in 1864. Also included is official and family correspondence kept while Baxter was in Honduras.
