Two typewritten biographies and an essay. The biographies are by Gaylen Snow Young and are entitled: "Religious and Spiritual History of Gaylen S. Young" and "Brief Social and Civic History of Gaylen Snow Young and Mary R. Young and our Family." Also included is an essay entitled: "My Testimony: Why and How" by Gaylen S. Young, Jr.
Remembering Horace Alma Smoot
Photocopy of a typewritten biography of Horace Smoot. The item was probably composed by a family member around the year 1970. The materials include photocopies of letters, cetificates, photographs, and genealogies. Also included are two patriarchal blessings given to Smoot. He was born in Provo, Utah, married Edna Louise Stubbs in 1902, was a dairyman in Bountiful, Utah, and held various positions in the Mormon Church.
