She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was 17 years old and came to America to follow her religion. She married Richard Steele in 1845 in Nauvoo, Illinois. She migrated to Utah in 1851 and settled in American Fork. She died in 1888.

He migrated to the United States in 1842. Steele lived in Nauvoo, Illinois, met the first president of the Mormon Church, Joseph Smith, and migrated to Utah in 1851. He settled in American Fork in 1852 and died in 1881.
