Lang collected folklore surrounding candle passings at Brigham Young University, a ceremony practiced by women as a way of revealing an engagment to girls in your apartment complex. Included are explanations of the ceremony, specific stories, and reasons why the tradition is dying out. Project was collected for an English 391 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.

Strassburg collected stories from past missionaries of Salt Lake City, Utah. Included are stories of non-members in Salt Lake City asking outrageous questions about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, other members joking with the missionaries about their calling, and encountering anti-Mormon documents while teaching. Taylor collected car games her friends played in their childhood. Included are a family who memorized and recited history documents like the Gettysburg address and Declaration of Independence, a family that would pretend the radio was broken and would sing popular songs loudly together, and kids who would punch each other any time they saw out-of-state license plates.
