Content Description

Contains materials pertaining to D. Clyde Davis' service as a Seabee, or a member of the United States Naval Mobile Construction Battalion. Includes some personal papers as well as a photo album depicting scenes from his experiences in Bougainville Island, a part of Papua New Guinea and the largest island of the Solomon Islands group. Materials dated approximately 1942-1945.

Scope and Contents

Materials include twelve lantern slides from Olson & Hafen Kodak Studio. These slides include photographs of an early expedition up Mount Timpanogos, as well as one photograph each of the Salt Lake Temple, the Manti Temple, the Brigham Young Academy building, and a group of soldiers. Materials dated approximately 1890-1920.

Scope and Contents Collection includes sixty-seven photographs of the Utah National Guard soldiers and military leaders at the Black Hawk training camp in Utah County in 1904. The soldiers are in the 1st Infantry and 1st Battery with companies A, D, E, F. The soldiers are seen during training on battery use, swimming, getting paid, marching, military band, and standing at attention. The photographs depict Mount Timpanogos, Provo Canyon, and Utah Lake putting the camp on the shore of Utah Lake in Utah County....
