John collected folklore surrounding each part of a family vacation. Included are stories about the planning, travel, side-trips, final destination, and returning home. The project was written for an English 392 class taught by Dr. Rudy at Brigham Young University in 2009.
The memories of Lavern / Dane Rahlf, 2008
A collection of narratives about the author's grandmother Lavern Rahlf. The themes present in the stories are the grandmother's unique discipline and her strict style in motherhood. The author also notes how important the father was to the cycle of stories, with the three groups of stories coming from the three fathers the children had. Traditions include Christmas morning rituals, recipes, Mormon missionary Christmas, rice balls, and the future of these traditions. Flanders collected traditions from Vietnamese New Year in an effort to celebrate a culture she was very interested in Included are superstitions, images, songs, and horoscopes. Project was created for Dr. Eliason's English 391 course taught at Brigham Young University in 2000.

Abbott collected narratives from men and women about their memories of childbirth. Included are memories of giving birth to a baby that died, a woman on bed rest for four months, and a baby delivered by Caesarian section. Bickel collected a narrative from her mother, Chantal P. Thompson, describing her conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Included are stories of Chantal's experiences with religion prior to her conversion, her meetings with the missionaries, and the opposition she faced from her family at joining the church. The project was collected for an English 655 class taught at Brigham Young University in 1997.
