Girl's camp is a yearly summer retreat organized by the member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for young women in between the ages of 12 and 18. In analyzing the songs Jordan came to the conclusion that many of the songs reflect Latter-day Saint vales and traditions as well as common teenager concerns including boys and self-image.
