N. Ross and Susannah Smith Beatie postcards

Scope and Contents Collection includes 492 postcards collected by Beatie and Smith between the 1900s and the 1930s. Many of the postcards contain the correspondence between Beatie and Smith during his mission to the eastern United States. The postcards include images of locations throughout the United States, as well as England, Canada, Ireland, and Australia. Most are commercially produced, although some are personal photographs.

Scope and Contents Collection includes sixty-six stereographs, with images of locations and events from around the world. Images include the Semi-Centennial Utah Jubilee in 1897, London, England, the Columbian Exposition in 1893, the Panama Canal, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland, India, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Jerusalem, France, New York, Oregon, Washington, Illinois, California, Ohio, and Colorado. There are also many images of people, including a set of four entitled "The Halloween Party."

Scope and Contents Contains 17 stereoviews of places in Europe and the United States. Places include Oregon, Arizona, California, Illinois, Washington D.C., Athens (Greece), St. Louis (Missouri), Norway, Moscow (Russia), England, Germany. Fourteen of the stereoviews were published by the H.C. White Co.; two were published by Richard Behrendt and one was published by B.W. Kilburn.

Scope and Contents Contains negatives of various sizes for the photographs found throughout the Helen Foster Snow photographs series. Box 177 contains negatives #1-3610, Box 197 contains negatives #3627-9621, box 200 contains negatives #9267-9705, box 201 contains negatives in larger sleeves from #448-9355, and box 163 contains various other negatives, mostly from the higher range of photograph numbers. Box 195 and 196 contain glass slide negatives for #11,143-11,248. Materials date from 1875 to 1991.

Scope and Contents Contains documentation, mainly grouped together in binders or originally grouped in binders. Documentation includes letters to Tim Considine, copies of photographs he owns as well as photographs in the Helen Foster Snow papers, and lists of captions for Helen Foster Snow and Tim Considine's photographs. Helen went to China in 1978 with Tim Considine and a film crew to retrace her steps from X'ian to Yan'an. Dated 1973 to 1979.
