Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. John Benjamin Roberts was born in 1847 in Winter Quarters, Nebraska, while his parents were migrating to Utah with other members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. John came to Utah in 1863 and settled in American Fork. John married Martha Bush in 1867. He ran a drug store in American Fork for many years and died in 1917.

Typescripts of material of Joseph Hovey, a Mormon convert in Illinois in 1839 and later a pioneer to Utah, compiled and written by his grandson, including a detailed journal written in the first person for the years 1839 to April 1854 and a brief journal concerning life in central Utah in 1855-1856. Also included is supplementary material taken from a journal of Joseph Hovey's wife, Lusannah.

Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Mary Bathgate was born in 1798 in Scotland. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah in 1856 in Dan McArthur's handcart company. She married James Boyonton Shelley in 1856 and lived in American Fork, Utah. She wrote poetry and died in 1884.

Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. Isaac Cooper was born in 1807 in Pennsylvania and married Mary Murray. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah with the David Spencer company in 1848. He later settled in American Fork and died in 1882.

Redden was born in 1790, joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, migrated to Utah with the first wave of Mormon pioneers in 1847, and settled in Grantsville, Utah. "This history was read at the February 9, 1970 meeting of Camp Dale in Castle Dale, Emery County, Utah, by Nita Hampshire."

Oliver Evans Thornton was born in Iowa in 1848 when his parents were migrating west with other members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He came to Utah in 1852 and later settled in American Fork. He married Emeretta Phillips in 1873.
