Typewritten biographies of members of the Morley family. These items were created at unknown dates and are believed to have been collected by Vera Ipson. The Morley's were Mormons who settled in Manti, Utah. Also included are excerpts from a diary kept by Hannah Blakeslee Finch Merriam Morley when she migrated to Utah in 1848.

Handwritten and signed letter from Kempton at Sunbury, Ohio to his sister-in-law Asenath Sweet of Strong, Maine. The letter discusses the Mormon migration and polygamy.

Photocopy of microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. Ellen Wright Jackson was born in 1836 in England, joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1849, and migrated to Utah in 1853. She married William Wahlley Jackson in 1854, settled in American Fork, Utah, in 1856, and died in 1904.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typescript. The item is an autobiography of Ann Prior Jarvis. Ann was born in England and joined the Mormon Church in 1848. Ann writes about an experience in which her daughter lived when she was expected to die. The doctor "came in the parlour as usual and he spoke very low and said: 'She is gone,' then I said, 'Yes sir, she is gone--into the kitchen.' He went with me into the kitchen. I know the change was so great he was frightened." She...

Ann Prior Jarvis diary and autobiography

Typewritten copy of a handwritten autobiography and diary. The autobiography was written in 1884 and tells of Jarvis' early life in England, her migration to Utah, and her move to St. George. Jarvis' diary covers the years 1884 to 1898. There are many gaps. She writes about the weather and her daily activities. Also included are patriarchal blessings of family members dating from 1875 to 1881. Most of them were given by William G. Perkins.
