Typescript of a journal which gives accounts of Young's conversion to Mormonism, visits of church leaders, marriage to Brigham Young, exodus west, experiences in Utah and her feelings about women's suffrage and the practice of polygamy.
Includes biographical and genalogical material about George Kirkham and his family, some excerpts from his journals (photocopies and typescripts) including his Latter-day Saint Church missionary journal while he was in England, 1888, drawings and poems by Kirkham, and correspondence, newspaper clippings and memorabilia from the scrapbook of Sarah Russon Kirkham pertaining to her husband, children and herself.
Collection consists of a reel containing talks given by Albert R. Lyman and stories told by Ezekial Johnson. There is also a CD with the talks and stories recorded on it, and a typed transcript of them. The two talks given by Lyman deal with Mormon doctrine, including temples and Zion. The stories by Ezekiel Johnson detail his experience witnessing a little girl's resurrection, and his father's experience with the Prophet Joseph Smith and polygamy.

There is also his "History of Utah" series that details the history of the state of Utah from before the Church members arrived to when Whitney was living there.
