Edith Scott histories
Photocopies of handwritten and typewritten genealogies, histories, biographies, and diaries. Most of the materials relate to Mormons in Emmett, Gem County, Idaho. Also included are diaries by James Smithies (1807-1879) and John Scott (1811-1876). Smithies' diary covers the years from 1846 to 1847 when he migrated to Utah. Scott's diary covers the years from 1855 to 1856 when he was serving on a mission in Great Britain for the Mormon Church.

Typewritten biographies of Asael Smith and Mary Duty Smith, the grandparents of the first president of the Mormon Church, Joseph Smith (1805-1844). Also included are genealogies relating to the genealogy of Asael and Mary Duty Smith. The biographies are largely compilations of sources by Smith family members.
