Materials contain Allen Dahl Young's typescript diary as a prisoner of war. The diary details his experiences from 1944-1945, and the typescript of the diary contained in the folder was prepared by Colleen Whitley in 1995. Young served as a pilot during World War II. During one mission he was shot down and became a prisoner of war. He recorded his experiences in his diary of not having food, living in cramped conditions and waiting for the war to end. Dated 1995.

Holograph manuscript written by Inez Knight Allen before she married. It is a diary kept from 1898 to 1899 while she was on a mission for the Mormon Church in England. Lengthy entries describe her missionary activities and her travels in England. There are many gaps in the record.
