John Crook papers
Handwritten diaries, newspaper clippings, genealogies, correspondence, and patriarchal blessings. The John Crook papers relates Crook's conversion, emigration to Utah, and major events related to his Church activities and work as a farmer and president of a coal company.

Newspaper clipping of pioneer monuments, scrapbooks, biographies, histories of various industries, lists of officers and members, and meeting programs. The materials relate to the operation of the organization primarily in Provo, Utah.
Day by day with the Utah pioneers 1847
Scapbooks. The materials are newspaper clippings glued into blank pages of a book entitled: "Day by day with the Utah pioneers 1847." The items were originally published in the newspapers the "Salt Lake Tribune" and the "Deseret News." The clippings refer to the migration of 1847 to Utah and the early settling of that state by Mormon pioneers.

Photocopies of newspaper clippings. Dan Croft inteviewed the mayor of Orem, Utah, B. M. Jolley, about the history of Orem. Jolley gave Croft information on the early days of the community.
James M. Peterson diary
Photocopies of a handwritten diary and several newspaper obituaries of members of Peterson's family. The events in Peterson's life are recounted from 1850 to 1866, after which a daily record was kept until 1899. Included are incidents from Sevier County history including politics, the Black Hawk War, census records for 1895, and personal business dealings. Peterson also writes about his family, national events, and local weather and temperatures.

James Whittaker diaries
Photocopies of handwritten diaries, newspaper clippings, and a biography. Some of the diaries were kept in the pitman form of shorthand. Whittaker made two journeys from England to the United States, once in 1842 and again in 1851. He kept diaries of these trips and of crossing the continent to Utah in 1851. Also included is a biography of Whittaker by Charlotte Chatterly Perkins Jones.
Charles H. Wilcken papers
Photocopies of newspaper clippings and miscellaneous documents relating to the lives of Charles W. Wilcken and his son David. The clippings largely tell of the life of Charles while many of the miscellaneous items relate to the marriage, Church activities, and employment of David.
