Scope and Contents Handwritten autobiography of Abbott written in 1917. Includes a description of Abbott's life including his birth in Weber County, and life in Tocquerville and Plymouth, Utah, before moving to Bunkerville, Nevada, in 1877. He describes the stay of the Mormon Apostle, Wilford Woodruff, when he was in Bunkerville while dodging federal officials for polygamy. Also includes Abbott's marriage to Mary Leavitt in 1881 and life in Annabella, Sevier County, Utah, from 1886-1910, where he was involved...

David Hammond Allred letter

Letter dated January 24, 1976 and addressed to LeGrand Baker, an archivist at Brigham Young University. Allred writes about John Markland Jones, a convert to the Mormon Church who migrated to Utah and later to Los Angeles County, California.

Anna Lindquist Brady autobiography

Scope and Contents

Autobiography, correspondence, and photographs of family members. The letters are between Anna Brady and Lorin F. Wheelwright relating to donations for the Brigham Young University Centennial. Anna Lindquist was born in Fairview, Utah, attended Snow College and Brigham Young University, and married William Wells Brady (1886-1964). She later moved with her husband to Rigby, Idaho. She was the mother of four children, was a musician, and was active in Mormon Church callings.

Horace H. Cummings diary and autobiography

Scope and Contents Diary and autobiography. The autobiography has a number of missing sections but basically covers the time his ancestors joined the Mormon Church to 1917 when he began his diary. The journal covers the years 1917-1936. Cummings served as Superintendent of Church schools for the Mormon Church and travelled widely on that and other assignments. Scope and Contents This collection consists of typescripts of biographies and histories of members of the Hammond family and their ancestors. The biography of Jasper Melvin Hammond (1882-1958) was written "by his wife and daughters" sometime after his death. Jasper, often called Jesse, was born in Providence, Utah but was raised in Marysville, Idaho. Lola Hutchings letter and family group sheets

Scope and Contents

This collection includes a letter to LeGrand Baker (Archivist at BYU Archives) which is a biography of the author's husband's grandfather, Alonzo Harrington LeBaron. Mrs. Hutching's information for this account was derived from notes written by Sarah Agnes LeBaron Hutchings and from a short history Sarah dictated to her grandson Theodore Bohn. Also included are two family group sheets of the Alonzo LeBaron Families (he had two wives) and a pedigree chart of his ancestors.

George Reynolds letters

Scope and Contents

Handwritten and signed letters to his wife, Amelia. Twenty-eight itmes were written from 1879-1881 in the Utah Peniteniary while Reynolds was serving a two-year sentence for polygamy. Reynolds tells about prison life, reaffirms his dedication to the Mormon faith, and discusses family matters.
