Scope and Contents Typewritten biography of John Stewart, a painter, and his wife, Ann Waddle Stewart. John and Ann were Scottish converts to the Mormon Church. They migrated to Utah and later settled in Provo, Utah.

H. H. Cluff diary

Scope and Contents Handwritten diary (144 pages) by Harvey H. Cluff. Cluff records events relating to his church activities. He talks about church talks, church courts, and reactions to the activities of federal officials who were pursuing Church members because of the practice of polygamy. Cluff presents copies of letters written by leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and gives an account of his arrest for polygamy on April 30, 1887.

Scope and Contents Handwritten diaries. Dixon writes about his missionary activities in for the Mormon experience in England and South Africa. Dixon also tells about his work in the general tithing office of the Mormon Church in Salt Lake City, Utah, and his work for the Provo Woolen Mills in Provo, Utah.

The funeral services of John W. Hoover

Scope and Contents Typewritten copy of the funeral services for John Whitmer Hoover on 29 May 1902. Among the speakers was the Mormon Apostle, Reed Smoot. Among the other speakers were John Edge Booth, Myron Tanner, and David John. Hoover's father joined the Mormon Church and moved his family to Nauvoo, Illinois in 1842 and later to Utah. John Hoover was a miller who married Mary Coursey in 1855 and lived in Springville, Utah. He moved to Provo, Utah in 1861. Also included is a biography of Hoover.

Silas Hillman autobiography and financial records

Scope and Contents Handwritten autobiography of Hillman describing his conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and his later experiences. He writes about the persecutions and problems the Mormons faced in Kirtland, Ohio, Missouri, and Nauvoo, Illinois. He also writes about encounters with Ute Indians during the 1850s following his migration to Utah. Also included are family financial records. Collection includes photocopy of materials.

Albert Jones diaries

Scope and Contents Handwritten diaries, an autobiography, and correspondence. Jones wrote his autobiography in 1881. Jones served in the Utah Militia during the Black Hawk War and had numerous occupations and positions in the Mormon Church. His diaries start in 1884 when he was called to serve on a mission for the Mormon Church in England. Many entries are lengthy and detailed.
