Collection includes 40 photographs of Salt Lake City, Utah and its residents, taken by Sainsbury & Johnson. Dated approximately 1890-1909. All photographs are mounted on cards, including many cabinet cards. Most are albumen prints but there are also some collodion printing out prints.
Salt Lake City photographs
Contains photographs, postcards, and one lantern slide of Salt Lake City. Many of the photographs have corresponding nitrate or acetate negatives. Dated 1850-1949.
Salt Lake City views
This collection contains one 8x10 mounted albumen print of the Salt Lake City Tabernacle and one 5x7 mounted albumen print of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Salt Lake Transportation Co. photographs
Collection includes six photographic prints, two nitrate negatives, and four acetate negatives of Salt Lake City, Utah and the Salt Lake Transportation Co. Dated approximately 1910 to 1969.
C. R. Savage Canyon photographs

C. R. Savage photograph collection
Contains primarily original prints of photographs by Savage, covering all periods of his career. Of the 839 items, over 750 are clearly Savage photographs. Eighteen other photographers are also named, including Alfred A. Hart, Edw. J. Muybridge, and possibly Carleton E. Watkins photograph. Includes landscapes in Utah and the West, with many in Salt Lake City. Also includes portraits, many of leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with many of Brigham Young.
C. R. Savage photograph of Garfield Beach
Materials include one albumen photograph by C. R. Savage taken in approximately the 1870s. It is a photograph of the Garfield Beach Resort on the Great Salt Lake, with people swimming in the lake.
Shipler Commercial Photographers photographs
The Shipler Commercial Photographers was a photographic company in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was started by James William Shipler (1849-1937) when he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1890. His son Herry Shipler (1878-1961) merged his studio and his father's in 1909.
