Emma Lucy Gates Bowen papers

Scope and Contents Correspondence, concert programs, music scores, and miscellaneous items. Includes correspondence of Bowen when she was in Germany as an opera singer from 1898 to 1914 and later when she was a voice and music teacher in Salt Lake City, Utah. Also included are letters from her husband, Albert E. Bowen from 1897 to 1923 and Lucy's agent, Catherine A. Bowman. Some of the materials relate to the Lucy Gates Opera Company.

Letter and newspaper clipping

Scope and Contents Two letters and one newspaper clipping. The clipping was published by the Itahca Journal News on 28 July 1962 and relates to the family of Brigham Young (1801-1877) and to the Salt Lake Theatre. One of the letters is from Dorothy Dye to Ernest L. Wilkinson, president of Brigham Young University, relating to the newspaper clipping. The other letter is from Wilkinson to the Brigham Young University Archives also regarding the clipping.

Philip Margetts papers

Scope and Contents Typewritten manuscripts of Rogers's plays about the Mountain Meadows Massacre, a Mormon family during General Conference time, and Helmuth Hübener. There are also photocopies of newspaper clippings, correspondence, typewritten scripts, various drafts of scripts, a printed working script, handwritten research notes, play reviews, criticism of the plays by friends and associates, and articles about Roger's writing career. Many of the items relate to the controversial nature of some of his plays.
