Scope and Contents This collection contains two black and white photographs. One of the photographs is 7.5" x 10" and is of a group of men standing on top of the last granite stone for the Utah State Capitol Building. The photograph was taken on 11 February 1915. The other photograph is 10.75" x 14" and is of a large row of people and horses and wagons lined up in front of the Alaska Ice & Storage Co. in Salt Lake City. Hardy on it. Also in the collection is a stero card of a sketch of Joseph Smith published by C.W. Carter, a color postcard of the Hill Cumorah, and a large black and white photograph of Norrano Lucca, Piarra della Liberta (Italy).

The materials relate to business and legal activities. Also included are anti-Mormon newspaper clippings from England. Many of the items were produced by Young's sister, Lydia Young Merrill.

Mahonri Mackintosh Young (1877 to 1957) was a notable american artist and sculptor. He was a grandson of Brigham Young and designed many of Utah's well-known monuments, including "The Seagull" and "This is the Place".
