Scope and Contents This collection consists of a photocopy of a handwritten biography of William Cook Prows. Prows was a pioneer to both Salt Lake City, Utah and Colonia Juarez, Mexico; a member of the Mormon Battalion; a gold prospector; a cooper; a horticulturist; and a polygamist. He was married to both Lodesky Ann Roberds and to Louisa Melinda James both of whom he took to Arizona. Then he took Louisa to Colonia Juarez due to the persecution of polygamists.

Mary Minerva Dart Judd autobiography

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typescript. Judd writes about her youth and migration to Utah in 1850. She moved with her family to Parowan, Utah, in 1851 where she married Zadok K. Judd in 1852. She tells about the births of her children and the purchase of Indian children as well. She writes about contact with Indians, daily activities, and moving to Santa Clara, Utah, in 1856. She lived in various communities and settled in Kanab, Utah, in 1871.

Tamma Durfee Miner autobiography

Scope and Contents This collection consists of photocopies of a typewritten document. Miner was baptized into the Mormon Church in 1831. She lived in Kirtland, Ohio; Far West, Missouri; Nauvoo, Illinois; and Springville, Utah. She had three husbands and fourteen children. Her autobiography tells of her personal hardships in following her chosen faith.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of an autobiography of Thomas Morris, written in 1871. Contains an account of his early life in South Wales, including his various occupations and religious affiliations, his emigration to New York in 1832, death of his first wife in 1837, his second marriage, conversion to Mormonism and relocation to Nauvoo in 1844, his impressions of Joseph Smith, and details of service in Mormon Battalion. Concludes with list of his various marriages and dates.

John Murdock journal and autobiography

Scope and Contents Materials include two copies of the typescript of an autobiography covering, 1792-1867, and journals, 1830-1859. Murdock was a Campbellite who joined the Mormon Church in 1830. He lived with Joseph Smith (1805-1844), the Mormon prophet, in 1833 and participated in "Zion's Camp" in 1834. He lived in Kirtland, Ohio; Nauvoo, Illinois; and Lehi, Utah and was in Missouri during the persecution of Mormons in that state.
