Scope and Contents Photocopies of holograph letters with typewritten copies made in Spanish and in English translation (4 items, 21 pages). Three of the letters were written in 1866-1867 by Maria L. Acuña of Chile to her brother, Rumardo Acuña, in San Francisco, California. Biography of John Olney Adams (native pioneer) and his wife, Mattie Marie Peterson

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilmed copy of a typewritten biography. John Olney Adams was born in American Fork, Utah, in 1861 and Mattie Marie Peterson was born in 1864 in Denmark. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah. They married in 1884. John died in 1932 in Bingham, Utah, and Mattie died in 1928.

Scope and Contents Photocopies of handwritten and typewritten biographies of family members including sketches of Niels Peter Miller (1837-1921), Ellen Anderson Miller (1833-1929) and Ellen Anderson (1805-1890). These were Mormons who migrated to Utah from Denmark.

Rosy Antle diary

Scope and Contents Photocopied from the typescript of Rosy's diary, this collection consists of a daily account of the affairs, difficulties, deaths, and friendships of the people in a wagon train during the 1860's. She is specific as to time and distance travelled, tolls paid for the passage of the wagon, the weather, and her health, commenting frequently about the heat and that she had a "sick headache."

Biography : Alice Tomlison Armstrong, native pioneer

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. Alice Tomlison was born in 1857 in England. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she migrated to Utah and settled in American Fork. She married Joseph Armstrong in 1871 and died in 1941.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typewritten biography. John Armstrong was born in England in 1848. His family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah in 1853 and later settled in American Fork. He married Mary Helen Wilson. Mary Wilson was born in 1848 in Philadelphia, and she died in 1919. He died in 1940.

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typed biography. Joseph H. Armstrong was born in England in 1850. His family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah in 1853. They suffered many harships on the way. The family settled in American Fork, Utah, in 1862. He was a carpenter and a farmer, and he died in 1933.

Earl's biography, written by his daughter Elizabeth Elvira Earl Cordner, covers 1846-1909 and discusses his experiences in the Civil War and as a businessman in Utah. He joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and migrated to Utah in 1859. He settled in American Fork and died in 1907 in Rigby, Idaho. This item was read by Laura Logie Timpson at a meeting of Adams Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Utah County, American Fork, Utah.
