Photocopy of typescript. Describes his trip from Salt Lake City to the site of Joseph City and daily life in the United Order in that town. The diary also discusses the author's departure on a supply trip to Salt Lake City and concludes with his arrival in St. George, Utah en route.

A one-page autobiographical sketch entitled "History of John A. Blythe, From his birth to Feb. 3rd, 1876" is also included.

Ada Arvilla Burk Earl autobiography

Typewritten autobiography which was revised in 1937. Ada writes about her life in Farmington, Utah, attending school, importing silk worms to Utah, and local entertainment. She later moved to Springerville, Arizona with her family. Ada married John H. Earl (1855-1953), a farmer and a carpenter. She moved to Chihuahua, Mexico in 1887, to Fielding, Utah in 1902, and to Ogden, Utah in 1922.

William Decatur Kartchner autobiography

Scope and Contents

Handwritten autobiography. Kartchner writes about his early life in Pennsylvania; joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1843 and subsequently moving to Nauvoo, Illinois; and his migration to Utah in 1847. He lived in serveral places in Utah and settled in Arizona. Also included is a partriarchal blessing for Etta Kartchner.

Handwritten autobiography, a newsclipping about Aaron Johnson Sr. (1806-1877), a handwritten copy of the senior Johnson's biography by his daughter, Marilla Lucretia Johnson Miller, and handwritten copies of correspondence on the Johnson family genealogy. This correspondence consists of letters from Stephen Johnson, brother of Aaron Johnson Sr., and also from Frank L. Johnson and W.E. Johnson, distant cousins of Aaron Johnson Jr. All items are photocopies.

William James Frazier McAllister autobiography

Scope and Contents Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typescript. The item is an autobiography of William McAllister, who was born in Delaware in 1845. McAllister writes about his father who served in the Methodist and Episcopal Churches. McAllister's father and the rest of his family were converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1860. McAllister migrated to Utah in 1861 but returned to help other pioneers to come to Utah. He served as a cavalryman in Utah's Black Hawk War and...
