James R. Clark manuscript drafts and book
Roberta Flake Clayton book drafts
Photocopies of typescripts of biographies used in Clayton's "Pioneer Women of Arizona," published in 1969, and "Pioneers and Prominent Men of Arizona," published in 1974. Most of the 195 women and 118 men are Mormons who relate their personal experiences in the early settlements of Arizona.

Echoes of the sage and cedars : a centennial history of Oak City, Utah, 1868-1969
The materials are a near final draft of a municipally published town history produced between 1969 and 1970. The typescript includes numerous additons, corrections, and notes in the margins. Also included with this typescript are select gally proofs. This history centers around the Mormon congregation known as the Oak Creek Branch (1874-1877), Oak Creek Ward (1877-1922), and the Oak City Ward (1922- ). The book also includes numerous biographies of past residents.

Correspondence, histories, poems, essays, speeches, newspaper clippings, notes, book drafts, articles, minutes, certificates, awards, diplomas, and miscellaneous items. The materials relate to the life, career, and interests of Fish and document much of the life of the Mormon community in Arizona.
Great reckonings in little rooms
Typewritten copy of Smeath's dissertaion for her PhD degree in the Department of Theatre and Cinematic Arts at Brigham Young University. The item is entitled: "Great reckonings in little rooms: Christopher Marlowe, Thomas Kyd, and certian circles of association." Also included are two typewritten plays with handwritten corrections. They are entitled: "A Pride of Heretics" and "The Foreordained."
Nathan and Ruth Hale plays
This collection contains photocopies of printed musical and dramatic plays by Nathan Hale and his wife, Ruth Hale. They began writing plays during the Great Depression of the 1930s when their LDS Church ward did not have the funds to purchase royalties. The collection contains 46 plays, many of which have been published.
Infatuation : a fiction founded on fact
Typewritten manuscript of an unpublished book entitled; "Infatuation: A Fiction Founded on Fact." This work is a novel based on the author's negative experiences with Mormonism.
