Marie F. Felt speeches and Sunday school lessons
Handwritten and typewritten drafts and final versions of speeches and Sunday school lessons. Also included are newspaper clippings, magazine articles, and a biography of Felt by her children. Most of the materials are intended for Mormon children and teach simple precepts of the Mormon faith.
Mary Ann Burnham Freeze diaries
Handwritten diaries, a letter, and a notebook. Freeze writes about her life in Salt Lake City and in Logan, Utah. She served as a member of the General Board of the Mutual Improvement Association of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She writes about her various activities and comments on such issues as polygamy.
Aurelia Hurst Gardner papers
Autobiography, patriarchal blessings, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and notes. The materials relate to Gardner's teaching career in home economics in Utah.
Sarah Agnes LeBaron Hutchings autobiography and genealogy
Photocopy of a typescript of a fragment of an autobiography. Hutchings writes about her early life in Salt Lake City, Utah. Also included is a genealogy group sheet of the Alonzo Harrington LeBaron family.
Eleanor Kartchner diary
Typewritten diary with handwritten corrections. Kartchner kept this diary while on a trip to Hawaii from 26 Dec. 1974 to 5 Jan. 1975. She tells about her daily activities on the trip in some detail. At the end of the diary she wrote some suggestions for tourists visiting Hawaii.
Emma Amelia Townsend Lovesy autobiography
Typewritten autobiography. Lovesy tells about converting to the Mormon Church in England, migrating to Utah in 1860, and settling in Salt Lake City, Utah.
My life story
Typewritten autobiography of Agnes Boyer. The information was given to Don E. Norton of Brigham Young University in 1982 and 1983. Mr. Norton is transcribed the interviews. Boyer was active in Mormon Church affairs and served for many years as a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple. Also included are reproductions of photographs of family members.
Zada Howell Norman letters
Handwritten and signed letters addressed to Zada's friend, Leota Brady Winkler, who was living in Tooele, Utah, from 1969-2005. Zada writes about family matters, and gives Leota greetings for her birthdays.
Oral history interview with Marjorie M. Emery
Transcripts of oral history conducted as part of the Brigham Young University Archives Joint Oral History Project of the Brigham Young University Alumni Association Emeritus Club. Emery tells about attending Brigham Young University, her marriages to Wayne L. Reeve and Wesley F. Emery, her Relief Society callings, her missions to Ireland and to the Liberty Jail Visitors Center, and about living in Kansas and Salt Lake City, Utah.
Religious and spiritual history of Gaylen S. Young
Two typewritten biographies and an essay. The biographies are by Gaylen Snow Young and are entitled: "Religious and Spiritual History of Gaylen S. Young" and "Brief Social and Civic History of Gaylen Snow Young and Mary R. Young and our Family." Also included is an essay entitled: "My Testimony: Why and How" by Gaylen S. Young, Jr.
