Harold B. Lee letters
Photocopies of three letters addressed to Gil Hodges and signed by Harold B. Lee and David O. McKay, presidents of the Mormon Church. The letters concern the sealing of women to their husbands and the ligitimacy of the use of birth control.
John D. Lee letter
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 19 Nov. 1877, and addressed to "Rachel Olive," Lee's daughter. Lee writes from prison where he was held on a charge of murder. He mentions the conditions of his incarceration and the court rulings concerning the divorce of Brigham Young, second president of the Mormon Church, and Ann Eliza Young.
W. H. Lee letter to David McKenzie
Handwritten and signed letter, dated 3 Feb. 1873, and addressed to David McKenzie. The item was written from the "Assessor and Collector's Office Tooele City." Lee writes to David McKenzie for taxes on the "Richvile Mill" owned by Brigham Young, second president of the Mormon Church.

Photocopy of a handwritten, signed, and notarized statement. Young authorizes the sale of ten acres of property of lot 1 in block 104 of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Letter and newspaper clipping
Two letters and one newspaper clipping. The clipping was published by the Itahca Journal News on 28 July 1962 and relates to the family of Brigham Young (1801-1877) and to the Salt Lake Theatre. One of the letters is from Dorothy Dye to Ernest L. Wilkinson, president of Brigham Young University, relating to the newspaper clipping. The other letter is from Wilkinson to the Brigham Young University Archives also regarding the clipping.
Letter, Great Salt Lake City [Utah], to Rose Canfield, Weber [Utah]
Addressed to a teacher in Weber County. Mentions his early knowledge that God had a use for him and comments on the relative worth of being practical-minded and having book learning. Encourages practical education. He notes that he wrote the letter "with my own hand". Typed transcript included.

Handwritten and signed letter, dated 2 May 1870, and addressed to Brigham Young, second president of the Mormon Church. Someone who signed his name only as "Riggs" writes to Young about financial matters.

Handwritten and signed letter, composed in La Porte, Indiana, dated November 7, 1841, and addressed to Joseph Smith, first president of the Mormon Church. Martin writes to introduce himself, tells of his efforts to preach the Mormon faith, and asks for a blessing.
