Lorraine Morton Ashton collection on Ermel J. Morton

Collection consists of papers relating to the dictionary Ermel J. Morton, a Mormon missionary who went to Tonga, created from English to Tongan and Tongan to English, his accounts of his mission and translating the Book of Mormon, a history of his wife, a catalog of his materials from home, a typed copy of the talks at his funeral and a Tongan grammar book. There is also a book written about the time the family spent in Tonga.

George R. Blake papers

Contains materials relating to Blake's life during the war and his mission. Includes a tyepwritten history of Blake's correspondence with a German prisoner of war, a letter in German, a history of prisoners of war in Orem during World War II, images of some of these prisoners, and a history of the end of Blake's mission to Germany. William Farrer diaries and letters

Scope and Contents

Contains seven handwritten volumes, plus typescripts which focus on Farrer's Hawaiian Mission, 1850-1854. Volume one contains accounts of his work in the California gold fields prior to his mission call. Volume seven is entirely in the Hawaiian language. Also included are photocopies of typescripts of 71 letters written to and by Farrer when he served in the Hawaiian Islands.

Gustave Waldemar Forsberg photographs

Albert Stephen Jones papers

Scope and Contents Contains diaries and photographs, including twenty stereographs, documenting Jones's experience as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Samoa and Tonga from 1893 to 1896. The diaries detail his daily activities and talk about the nature of his work. Jones continued to write in these diaries after his return to Provo, Utah until 1902. The diary covers the years from 1899 to 1902 when Miller served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Denmark. His financial records cover the years from 1899 to 1911. The newspaper clippings and announcements are in Danish and relate to missionary activities in Denmark.
